So I have amnesia over the last 8 days. Something traumatic must've happened around Thursday of last week. What'd I miss?

Anyhoo...

Cards 17
Bills 7

Another maddening victory. A late TD puts it out of reach, but it is a competitive game throughout. And it shouldn't be.

I would imagine that most people would have written the Rams(or really any team you want to insert) will not have 9 sacks, guaranteed, last week as well. 10 is next in the progression and you know how the Cards are about things like that.
I don't think anyone was expecting 17 sacks last two games. That was a little outrageous. But both Dolphins and Rams have good, solid defenses. Bills don't. That is a fact.

#30 in total defense.
#26 in pass defense.
10 total sacks in 5 games, 2.0 sacks per game.

No but it happened so not giving up 10 can't be guaranteed. Especially when you are talking about the Cardinals who like to do weird things like progressions.

2006 5-11
2007 8-8
2008 9-7
2009 10-6
2010 5-11
2011 8-8
2012 9-7???

I want it to be the Cards on top, but my gut says Bills (24) Cards (3)

Your guess is as good as anyone else's but do you realize how bad we'd have to be to lose this way? We've had 10 days to rest and prepare for a home game against one of the worst teams in the NFL and you have us scoring just 3 points. That's 3 points against a team that has given up 97 points in their last two games. I really, really, really hope you're wrong. If you're right, this will be game 2 of a 12 game stretch to rival the worst of all time.

I know, but this team is in serious trouble. The confidence in of the line is shattered and Mario Williams is going to run havoc over them. Kolb is once again focused on the rush coming after him, so look for plenty of mistakes once again. The running game is non-existent.

This is a Grimm outlook for us Cardinal fans.

I think they're in trouble too and wouldn't be shocked to see them finish the season 1 - 11. This game though is our best shot at a victory. If we can't win this one it's going to get ugly around here.

I'm still holding on to a small sliver of hope that the Miami game was an aberration and the Rams game was merely the result of too little rest for a road trip. I think there's a fair chance that all of us in the "we might not win another game" group are overreacting. Unfortunately, history, more often than not, shows that overreacting Cards fan = prescient Cards fan.

Come on...

This defense is too good to not at a minimum squeak out a few more victories this year. That being said I am still predicting they finish with at least a 9-7 record.

If and when this team shows a lack of confidence in their ability to compete and win, I'll worry.
