Players that will not be resigned, or will be released
Jermaine ONeal. I just can't see the Suns bringing him back unless he returns very cheaply.
Channing Frye. Unless he shows he can play again, he will be waived this summer
Diante Garrett. End of bench players like this rarely come back.
Haddadi.

Players that will be traded (or at least shopped extensively)
Marcin Gortat. Just because, he will be a FA.
Shannon Brown. Will they find a taker for that one final year?
PJ Tucker. He will be an easy one to shop or cut if the right FA is available. I think everyone wants to keep him, but his salary hit is the easiest to dump.
Jared Dudley. Everyone loves him and he probably is not the best fit in the Suns future plans. If someone offers a decent pick, or an advantageous swap, I could see him moved.
Scola. Nice piece for a good team.

Guaranteed Returners
Goran Dragic
The Morris'
Beasley. Who is going to take him? How can they cut him?
Marshall. Too early, too much invested. The Telfair trade made this clear.

Too early to tell
Wes Johnson. If someone starts bidding, he is gone. But he could return on a 1-2 year deal.

Draft Targets
McLemore, Oladipo, Noel, Porter. In that order

Free Agent Targets
Dark horse. Andrew Bynum. Do we believe our training personnel are miracle workers? He is injured at exactly the wrong time in his career. Who will gamble on him? I think he is a better gamble than Beasley.

I like most of your projections. However, Channing Frye has two more years left on his contract, the last year being a player option. If he can't play, why would he do a buyout to save the Suns money? He has to think about his future. The Suns best bet might bet might be insurance covering his salary if he is not medically cleared to play but I'm not sure how this works with the CAP.

Also I do not believe the last year of Beasley's contract is fully guaranteed for 2014-15 so there is that.

Shannon Brown can probably be traded as an expiring contract or included in a trade package. His salary is only 3.5M.

Please say no to Bynum unless he can be had on the cheap. However, someone will roll the dice on him, maybe even the Lakers if they can find a way.

Unless the team gets a medical exemption then Frye will still be on the roster next year. He makes too much money to be released and we have no hope of trading him until he becomes an expiring.

Brown's contract is not fully guaranteed next year, given his current usage I'd think he is a lock to be waived.

I think, and hope, we will keep Tucker. His value around the league is probably still well below his actual value.

I wouldnt be shocked if Scola is still here next year. We cant trade him until July so he is out of the picture during the draft. If he still has a pulse next season then I think he will be moved during Jan or Feb, 2014.

Agree about Dragic, Morris', Marshall.

I think Dudley is the most likely to be traded, only reason I doubt Gortat will get moved during the offseason is because I dont see us bringing in a viable starter to replace him. But I do think he SHOULD get traded. Maybe they can talk themselves into a center rotation of O'Neal and Frye... but I doubt it.

If Blanks is fired then Beasley will be gone, no doubt. And if Blanks is still here stinking up the joint then Beasley will almost certainly still be around, decomposing on the bench.

Draft day deals go down every year where teams agree to terms but wait for July to make if official. They simply have the other team draft the player they want. It's unofficially announced so the players and fans know.

If they let it out publicly then I am pretty sure that would be a huge no-no in Scola's case, its because of his amnesty status that he cant be moved.

If we move him before next year then I think it will be just as a dump, getting a 2nd rounder in return. I just dont see much of a market for him in the off-season, even at his meager salary. A 33 year old big in decline, who currently is not a starting quality player... IMO, if the team wants to get anything for him their best chance would be to wait until the season gets going and teams get serious about filling holes.

Just as long as the move isn't made until July then the deal is perfectly fine

Ok. I think I want Wes Johnson back. I've seen enough. I am also sold on Marcus. Add Oladipo at the 2 and this team is starting to look like something. Good grief, I even think Marcus Smart could play with Dragic. McLemore would be good too.

I am not sure we need Otto Porter if Wes Johnson is playing like this.

Wes has been very impressive with his spot up shooting recently. Still dribbles like Michael J Fox in Teen Wolf (while not in wolf form), but other than that he has impressed. Dumping Brown and Beasley out of the rotation for Morris and Johnson has make a really marked improvement.

Now can we please start losing again? Our odds of lotto success are taking a pounding.
