SUNS TO AIR PRESEASON TELEVISION SPECIAL
PHOENIX – The Phoenix Suns will air a preseason television special at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5, on UPN45 (broadcast locally on cable channel 16). The 30-minute special will take an in-depth look at this year’s training camp in the Valley of the Sun and give fans their first look at the new team.
Along with previewing the upcoming season, former Sun Eddie Johnson will hold court in a one-on-one interview with 2002-03 ‘got milk?’ NBA Rookie of the Year Amaré Stoudemire and talk about the Suns latest trade that brought Brevin Knight, Robert Archibald and Cezary Trybanski (pronounced SA-zaa-ree Tra-Ban-Ski) to Phoenix.
Additional show highlights include Suns summer workouts with Stephon Marbury, Anfernee Hardaway and Shawn Marion and a behind-the-scenes look at the 2003 Draft war room with Suns scout and former player Rex Chapman.
Tom Leander and Al McCoy will host the training camp special. New host Kevin Ray will anchor the club’s pre-game show, Suns Gametime, on UPN45 this season and will be joined by co-host and former Sun Tom Chambers. Suns Gametime begins 30 minutes before every Suns road game during the 2003-04 season.
