A friend of mine is selling a Xbox 360.

It's got:

All cords and cables to hook it up to your TV or HDTV.
20GB Hard Drive
1 Wireless Controller

Games include:
Battlefield 2
Dead Rising
F.E.A.R.
Far Cry: Instincts
Superman Returns
Prey
Sonic The Hedgehog
RAW vs. Smackdown 2007
Tomb Raider
Madden 2007
Need For Speed: Most Wanted
Tiger Woods 2006
Call Of Duty 2
Just Cause
NBA Live 2006

Any ideas of how much the sha-bang should go for?

$20 & I'll take it off his hands for him. I'll even drive out to pick it up if he's in AZ.

If I were to guess, he'd probably be lucky to get $500 for the set. I know its a lot of games, but most aren't all that desirable.

I'd probably say about $430-$450 or so. Like coyote said, most of the games aren't desirable anymore and the 360 just had a price drop.

I'm kinda looking to pick one up. Is it in good condition?

DCR, I heard the 20g's will be coming with HDMI shortly. Have you hear this?

He informs me that all of it is in "excellent condition", but before I recommend it's purchase to anyone I know I'm going over to his place to make sure it is.

I told him that $450 would be reasonable; $300 for the system, and $10 a piece for the games.

I'd say more like $260-275 for the system. A brand new one is only $350 right now, but a couple of those games are worth more than $10. $450 isn't outlandish at all.

its going to be a little tough getting a reasonable deal on this. the games arent desirable, AND the 360 is going through a whole slew of changes and upgrades.

65nm process
improved CPU/GPU cooler
HDMI output

and a few months ago, Microsoft also changed out their DVD-ROM drive manufacturer to Lite-on which is supposed to make a quieter, more relyable drive.

What would your price assessment be then?

Any chance of financing this bad boy?

I already asked, he didn't really seem warm to the idea.

Do you know when the 65nm 360s are supposed to hit store shelves?

Supposedly, they will be quietly hitting the stores anytime. From what I understand, they will be in the new 360s that have HDMI.

Hey Ken, thanks for being flexible on the monthly payment thing and trusting that I'm good for it. This thing is sweet; I've been playing all day.
