Wow. I can't tell if they are serious about this, or if it is going to be one of those Sharknado deals.

Studio: Screen Gems (Sony)
Director: Burr Steers

Plot Summary: A zombie outbreak has fallen upon the land in Jane Austen’s classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England. Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet (Lily James) is a master of martial arts and weaponry and the handsome Mr. Darcy (Sam Reilly) is a fierce zombie killer, yet the epitome of upper-class prejudice. It looks like a well funded joke, that will make some money for a studio in the end. Like Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Slayer.

The smirky popularity of all the stupid Syfy movies encouraged this, I'm sure.

Meh, I'll not be seeing it. The neat little conceit of the book was that it was still the same story, but zombies were sneaking in around the edges, and it was handled with dry humor. The conceit of this movie is that they've been trained as warrior women their whole lives. Sounds like crap to me.

I think it was more the bestselling novel this was based on more than the popularity of Syfy movies.

I love a good zombie flick, you just have to avoid the 9 crappy cash grabs and watch the good one.

with that being said, this interests me Zero.

Back when I thought I had a talent for writing movie scripts (I don't), I was working on the beginnings of what I thought would be (it wouldn't have been) a rollicking zombie comedy. Then Shaun of the Dead came out, and I threw it away with a curse and a grumble :D

my ol'lady came home with "The Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse " a couple weeks back...
I was shocked...as she is not really a fan...

Then I was shocked again....it was funny.....not quite Zombieland,....but funny.

If you have not seen it,...it is at least worth the 5.99 for pay per view...or it may be on stars in a month or so.....

I saw it when it came out, thought it really fell flat. It tried to be Zombieland funny...tried way, way too hard. Funny bits here and there, but it wasn't worth my money.

apparently it is reviewing well

I thought it was fun and surprisingly well done. We laughed a lot! I think this would be a great date movie for anyone out there who has a SO. It's got something for everyone.

Not great obviously but fun.
