LAS VEGAS – Priscila Cachoeira beat Josiane Nunes with a first-round knockout Saturday on the preliminary card at UFC Fight Night 254 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

"She brought a lot of pressure, and I definitely felt she was strong. But I knew I had my chances. I also tried to connect on the counter. But I knew my uppercut was going to be there. It was something my coaches told me. I knew I was going to have chances to use it, and I got it in and got my knockout."

Cachoeira on pressure​

"Of course I'm going to feel a little bit of pressure. I was also fighting the last fight on my contract. So that added another layer of pressure, but at the end of the day, I worked as hard as I could. The adrenaline doesn't really let you feel pressure or fear. I did feel the responsibility because it was my last fight (on my contract), we had lost two (straight), and I had all my team and we had been working very hard."

Cachoeira on what she wants next​

"I feel just fine. I've got no damage at all and I'm ready for the call. A month, month and a half? I just want to fight."
