I want some of what Pete's smoking...

2. The Cardinals' Andre Ellington will lead the NFL in rushing.

We saw a similar style of back in LeSean McCoy lead the league last season. Ellington is the guy who will do it this year.

Like McCoy, he is what I call an "air back," a player who excels in space or air. Look for the Cardinals to get him a ton of touches both inside the tackles and wide -- and use him in the passing game.

The offensive line is better, so he will be better. Ellington is set to become a household name.

He lead the League last year in average per, but I don't see him carrying it enough to get that honor, especially if he's running routes.

Considering BA's luv of the passing game that comment isn't even a remote possibility!!! I'd be shocked if he sniffs 1K

Maybe if he doesn't start - and expands the role he had last year- but he won't start past 5 games in a row at his size - unless we pass more than 2/3 of the time.

Doubtful. More likely to lead in total yards from scrimmage than rushing yards.

Too much hype for him before he has proven himself. Imo.

But he looks to be pretty good sofar.

So our QB is throwing for 5000 and our RB leads the league in rushing, man this offense is going to be awesome:D

Prisco should have stated he'll lead the league in yards from scrimmage. Unlikely, but much more plausible with the offense we run.

My hope is he is durable enough to last through the season. Then things will take care of themselves. But with Dwyer he should get enough blows.

Don't you have to actually do running plays for a back to get significant rushing yards?

I could see him leading running backs in total yardage, but I don't see much more than 1000 rushing out of him optimistically.

Its really not as far fetched as people think. We will be pounding the ball at least 6 games a year and if anyone has been paying attention, Ellington has been getting the Anquan rookie preseason treatment. AKA hes a big secret about to be unleashed on the league.

Leading the league in rushing may not be likely but I agree with what Jay Feely tweeted yesterday. Hell get 2000K all purpose yards.

Poor Cardinals fans with their battered wives syndrome. Dont know a good thing when they see it and immediately run for cover when anyone says something good.
