Plot Summary

I recently watched this. I remember seeing parts of it 20 or so years ago and thinking it was funny. It was much more serious than I had remembered. Hawn was nominated for an Oscar for best actress, but it went to Sissy Spacek for Coal Minor's Daughter. I guess I'll have to watch that one. This was also nominated for best screenplay, which is a little surprising since it's a pretty simple movie.
