In the next Circuit City ad, (Jul 15th - 21st) there will be a $100 price break on the 60GB PS3. It will be $499.

Remember that you can get 5 free Blu-Ray DVDs with purchase of any Blu-Ray Player / Game system by going here:

http://www.bluraysavings.com

Does a price drop and 5 free movies make anyone else think of buying one?

:yeahthat:

no WOW on a PS-Anything

No additional $15 per month to play WOW-anything. I'm not defending Sony, I just can't justify spending $15 per month to play one game. I'd probably play the hell out of it if someone got me a year sub though.

Nope. $299 for a Blu-ray and I'll buy, but I have no need for a PS3.

Not trying to :hijack:

But...in some cases it can be cheaper in the long run.

The best way to put a monthly subscription fee in perspective is to consider this; how much do you spend on new games every month? If you buy at least one new console title a month that ends up being $50-$60 every month. If you are playing an MMO your paying $30-$50 the first month (game included), and $15 a month after that.

yeah that....

SHHHHH!!!! I need validation

I understand that logic. However, I never buy games retail. I usually get them on eBay, and $30 is pretty much my limit. I brought Tony Hawk Project 8 for PS3 on eBay last week for $15.

I will wait for it to drop a little more thats still a heavy price tag and I already have a 360 and a lot of games which takes up to much of my time already lol so I will pass on ps3 for now.

This wouldn't convince me to buy one but the good thing about it, is this probably starts a price war. If the PS3 drops, expect the 360 to follow suit. If anything price wars benefit the consumer.

Now if we can only get game prices to start coming down to earth. :D
