I think it's a no brainer. As bad as the Browns and Cards have been drafting QB's, the Jets over the last 30 years are worse. 6 times they drafted a QB in the 1st or 2nd round and none are/were any good. What do y'all think?

The Cards. Hometown misery trumps any other team's mistakes even if their mistakes are worse.

I picked the Browns. We have less first round busts, even though it’s sad that Plummer and McCown are our success cases here.

Pennington and Sanchez help the Jets, just by having had at least a couple of respectable years.

The Browns should never trade back into the first again.

Browns hands down.

Both we and the Jets drafted some guys with talent who didnt pan out due to injury. The Browns drafted guys that just sucked canal water.

Here's how bad the Jets are at drafting: there are 7 rounds to the NFL draft. In 2009 & 2010 they had 7 picks combined.

Jets .....Plummer is/was our most successful pick. McCown has been more 'successful' since he left us but we got Kurt and Carson during that time.

Gave it to Cleveland just for the fact they picked more #1's than either of the other 2 teams and whiffed on them all.

Plummer gave the Cards some good years and led them to the playoffs (Win over Dallas)

Pennigton gave the jets some decent years.

Browns have thrown more high picks at the position and failed --- so they win (lose?)

for the Cards:

i get the lack of attention, but they really only two obvious "passes" that they deserve some criticism for:

they passed on Aaron Rodgers because Denny Green beleived in Josh McCown.

They also passed on Rivers and Roethlisberger in favor of Larry Fitzgerald (also Denny)

FWIW: im not counting the "passed on Dak Prescott", etc misses --- those werent obvious

Cards because they haven’t really tried hardly at all in the first 2 rounds since their arrival in the desert.

What 1st and 2nd QBs have been legit the last 3 drafts? Watson being the only I can think of without looking it up? Hasn't been really any top QBs draft the last couple of years.

OK out of that list. Mahomes and trubisky are still iffy. OK, Goff and Wentz I forgot about. I think Carr is good but not great and garoppolo is still an unknown. Winston and mariota got worse then the year before.

Wait a second, prior to the horrible Logan Thomas pick, our last 2 picks were Lindley and Skelton? That feels like ages ago, and are 4th (should have been a 6th) 6th, and 5th rounders respectively. That's seriously the only draft capital we've thrown at the position since Leinart? I guess I knew that but had never seen it in a list.

We deserve to be where we are chasing beat up old QB's. Do we think we get a pass for not even trying? Is our excuse "well golly, some early QB's are busts so we'll take safer picks." I don't think you get a pass for choosing to avoid the tough decisions.
