Not a guy you trade after one season under Wilks and McCoy behind the worst O line in football

Good point. At a certain point, Rosen is going to start getting irritated if this is not a ruse

a radio guy ( i wish i could remember) pointed out that at this time of year, every NFL reporter who "reports" things that only people in a given NFL building would know, are being fed that info by someone with an agenda.

And at a certain point, the damage that has been done to the relationship between the front office and Rosen (if this is not a ruse) is irreparable. If the Cardinals draft Murray to fit KK’s system and it doesn’t work out, history will not be kind to KK. I still think the Cardinals take Bosa or Q but I am not enjoying all of this high drama

Don't get me wrong.. it's good to see guys like Golden talking up the guy. Those are the things that make me feel a little better about Rosen if we don't nab Murray.

interesting take:

this fact was given to Rapoport for a reason.

who gave it, and for what reason?

Could be the team. Could also be his agent.

Rapoport is as dialed into the situation as anyone

Quite a mess. Whether it is an agent or another team. I guess that it could be worse in the sense that somebody’s Daddy (Elway or Eli) could be boycotting a franchise, but I can’t remember a situation where there was such smoke around a guy that no one else would take at number one.

my theory:

Rapoport was the guy who reported that the Cards could take Murray and keep Rosen a week ago or so. That come from the team as a message to everyone else that the team wont be lowballed for Rosen.

I think todays news was also from the team -- to show teams thinking about Rosen what a dedicated guy he is

Only thing even keeping Murray in this draft discussion is his scrambling ability. Rosen can make all the same throws & showed a little escapability last season. Familiarity with the "air raid" helps also but without the scrambling imo, he wouldn't even be considered.

It is either that or Keim and Bidwilll are in deep trouble and Rosen has the leverage.

I have an inside source that can confirm what you said is 100% true. Wait, does that mean it isn’t?????

Except he literally can't make the same throws. Rosen has never been as accurate as Murray

im not following... Rosen has leverage for ...?

To lower the value of the deal that Bidwill and Keim could make in order to go to a team that Rosen prefers. His agent could very well be on the phone and he could tell Bidwill and Keim to go ahead and draft Murray. Maybe he doesn’t want to play for the Giants or Redskins. He has all of the leverage now. Imagine if his agent starts reaching out on his behalf

doesnt he risk not getting traded at all if he does that and sitting behind Murray?

Bidwill and Keim’s worst nightmare. They can’t do it because they have so many positions of need that it’s implausible. The fan base and locker room would be insanely angry after an 0-7 start with two wasted top 10 picks. KK would be on the hot seat. I never imagined it would get this far, but it has. Two young QB’s hold all of the leverage. Rosen could sink the whole thing by announcing that he is on the market and doesn’t want to sit.
