Lindley is a POS, Stanton isn't anything of a marquee player and Palmer is arguably good but he's the stop gap between our newly imported Warner-esque franchise QB. This thread will be tentative and updated as talent emerges or is available.

Soooo......

With the giants stinking it up in NY and many years removed from a super bowl could it be possible that they would like to clean house especially with rumors of a coughlin retirement building steam. I say we give a second in 2014 and a conditional in 2015 for eli manning. I really like this scenario because the last franchise QB we had a Super Bowl ring, this one has 2. Greybeard and Eli were both giants and as a matter of fact greybeard even mentored a young Eli to make him the QB who would win 2 sb rings. Think he is the QB meant to lead cardinals into future and many victories. Thoughts?

You'd have to clear that deal with Archie first.

Dreaming is free and cardinals reality is miserable. Palmer is good enough to get us in playoff contention but Eli is a Super Bowl winning champ. Easily worth 2 first rd picks. I can already picture warner telling a young Eli "I'm going to Arizona, the people there need someone to believe in. My career is nearing its sunset. The people of Arizona are good people and When you are done here in New York I hope you are ready to be a cardinal and lead them into prosperity."

Eli Manning for a second round pick in 14 and conditional in 15? Ya, sure, good one.

The 49ers claimed QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson off waivers and released John Skelton.

Fine make it 2 1 first rounders. We already let one manning get away to Denver. If Peyton came here we would've been dominating league much like the donkeys are now. Look If Palmer lays an egg against niners then we might As well start kicking tires on Favre.

19 picks in 13 games in 2010. Very Palmer-like.

Heck Eli already has 12 picks this year. Yuck.

Yeah well for once there's many teams worse than the cardinals and the giants are one of them. Also when Warner came to Arizona his stats weren't as impressive at the time either.

Yeah but Favre is a HOF elite qb. Nobody thought he would do anything after the jets and his first year with Vikings proved to be magical. I heard he's doing good now and we might be able to redo that magic with Favre at helm. I might be getting ahead of ourselves and for all we know Palmer plays lights out in the city by the bay.

No niners fan here. I'm just humoring the thought of potential qb options. And I'm sorry if at times I sound like I'm trying hard to relive the warner days but who among doesn't long for those days?

Eli is a proven superbowl winner, for sure. One of 5 to win the MVP twice. But whats NOT clear is whether he can get you there, or if he needs a whole hell of a lot of team to lean on. He's a playoff QB no doubt. But ya gotta get there first.

Peyton would be in a wheelchair.
