Does the Friday's that's in the ballpark have normal prices like any other Friday's or are the prices higher? I know it costs a bunch to get a table during a game but I'm talking early in the day (say 1:00 pm when the game starts at 6:40 pm).

Ive only eaten there on non game days and its typical Fridays food/prices, crappy fried stuff for 10 bucks or less. I don't know if they switch to a during game menu thats pricier, but I doubt it.

Cool, thanks. I didn't know if maybe they jacked up the prices even more since it's in a stadium but I figured not. I think we are going to probably eat lunch there one of the days while we are there before one of the games.

crappy? fridays food is awesome.

That is a sentence I honestly thought I'd never read. Go to the Phoenix New Times site, look up some of their restaurant 'best ofs', there's a lot of really great place to eat in the Valley, Fridays (a mediocre chain) is not one of them.

Agreed. You don't go there expecting the best or healthiest food, but it is pretty tasty food for cheap.

Anyways, as for PHXsportsfans' question, I'll use two games as an example.

1st:

I went to the Cubs @ Dbacks last August, and we sat at Fridays FR. It was $32.50 per ticket (not counting food) and a pretty good view if you can get tickets for outside, I wouldn't recommend inside, unless you like watching TV, as that's basically what you get until you say screw it and go walk through the stadium to find better seats.

Here is the view from Fridays:

2nd.

Then there was my more recent game, we went to the second home game of the year. Section 132 row 29 seat 12.

No Fridays and pure stadium seating, however there are concession stands everywhere down there, and if you get a ballpark hotdog, get the Arizona dog, it was really good!

Here's some pics from that game:

All in all, I liked both, but too be honest, I liked the second game better. I sat directly in front of the worst, most druken Cubs fans ever up at Fridays.

At the Dodger game, the view was great, Reynolds' homerun looked awesome from that angle. The only thing that was annoying were the vendors walking up and down the aisles every five seconds screaming "Cold beer!"

Going on those two experiences I'd recommend getting stadium seats, but usually after about the 3rd inning you move around until you find the section you want. If you have more questions just send me a message on AIM.

Cool, nice pics too. I have found someone who has a pair for 132, row 6 and is wanting $30 a piece to one of the games we are going to... The face value for season tickets there is $25 and if you got them at the window on game day $37 so I don't know if I should go for that or hold out and maybe there will be a better deal on eBay.

My AIM name is also the same, PHXSportsFan4.

lol cheap is two 99 cent hamburgers from whatever value menu. 10 bucks for a meal before tax and tip is considerably higher lol.

It's not expensive ofc, but cheap it is not.

I too, wanna to TGIF's for dbacks game. I heard last year that on the first day of the month, you can start buying tickets first come first serve. Is that true???

I was talking about to eat before a game like earlier on in the day but not have seats for up there.

If you want tickets for Friday's for a game, you can get them off the D-Backs site here: http://arizona.diamondbacks.mlb.com/ari/ticketing/fridays_front_row.jsp

You have to buy at least 4 tickets though.

Here is my first hand report:

It was good. We were outside, so we couldn't see the scoreboard and had to continually run back inside to check the Suns game.

The food was standard for Fridays, except they seem to have trimmed down a typical Fridays menu by half. There were definitely plenty of options, but my favorite dish was not available at the ballpark.

We paid $65 to get in. $35 of that is credited towards food and drink. We had 9 guys and 52 beers, so I guess the night was a success. If you don't use all of your credit, you lose it.

The service was awesome. The server basically had 4 tables last night, so he was constantly bringing out food and drinks. I feel like I saw alot of the game last night because I wasn't waiting in line at the concession stand.

I thought it was a nice way to watch the game and it is definitely a place for fans and non-fans to go and hang out.

So the ticket is $65 but they give you $35 in credit? That sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

How were the food prices compared to a regular TGIF?
Did they have pot stickers on the menu?
How much were the Beers?
If you have to buy tickets in groups of four, how did you have 9 people?

I'm just curious, I'll be doing it either way, just would like to know what to expect.

Oh, and thanks for the info, it was helpful for sure.

Do you have to get a "Fridays Front Row" ticket or would you be able to still go eat there with tickets for other seats and if so is it worth it or is it just too packed on game days?

I did one game at Fridays last year, it was for four of us. We did the outside table in the very front row for $65/seat. It was table 133 and I purchased the tix the day the table was made available on dbacks.com. It sounds expensive, it is, however, 50% of the face value of each table is credited to the food and beverage total. Sales tax and 20% gratuity is added to the total amount of food and beverage. Broken down, it's $32.50 each for admission, $40 each for food. It's use it or lose it on the food credit, so appetizers, a pricier menu item and dessert were musts. I don't remember what I ordered. The food prices were about the same in their usual restaurants and the food was decent. Being waited on (read: not having to stand in line at the concession stands) made the price of the evening worth it...once. Plus, alcohol sales didn't end in the 7th inning up there. So now I can say I've ate there during a game.

I don't think they are open for general dining on game days, you'd have to call them and ask.
