The ESPN board is caliming that there is a clause in the contract that pays Q 5 mill more a year if the team that he plays for is in last place. Im pretty sure this is BS since Gambo and Ash were joking about it the other day, but is there any more to it than that? And secondly is that even legal?

lol.. what kind of clause is that? Why give someone an incentive to lose games?

Realistically, if Kobe stays with the Lakers, the Clippers match on Q no matter how the deal is structured.

depends.

They might want to throw wads of cash at Dampier rather then Richardson, you never know.

I doubt this is the case because they just drafted Kaman to play center.

They already have 2 players signed to long term contracts, do they want a 3rd? That's not the Clipper way.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them let Q go. He has already said that he doesn't want to return.

I'm guessing it's about 70% that the Clippers match, 30% that Phoenix gets him.

Kaman's presence wouldn't deter the Clippers from going after Dampier. They have plenty of other reasons not to be interested, but it's not like Kaman has shown a lot of potential to be dominant.
