Does Stoops have a plan for QB next year? Jason White in the game 50 seconds left and up 30 -0.

What's with that?

Yes . Bob Stoops always has a plan. He red shirt Our back up QB from the last two years, jr Paul Thompson. More of a running QB that can throw with the best of them. A Great QB that will fianlly get his chance to shine next year. And then We have maybe the best QB prospect Ever to come out of Texas, fr Rhett Bomar A running and throwing QB that will set college football on fire.

So why don't these guys get PT in a rout? Who are the backups this year?

The BCS is whats up with that. It sucks trying to run up the score on a team That OU respects Like Nebraska. But like it or not that is the way it is set up. They say the margin of score is not a part of it, but it is. Some voters ,all they see is that OU only won by 27 , Not that they dominated NU and deserves to be the #2 ranked team . Paul Thompson Would probably come in If Jason white got hurt. giving up his redshirt year or Tommy Grady, and that is what OU do'nt want to do.

Very true, and sad. Since Division I-A doesn't have a playoff, perception is half the game. Since most writers/coaches can't see all the games, the most exposure to a game they may have before voting is the score.

Penn State killed themselves in the 1990's by not running up the score, and playing subs - the scores for games like PSU-Indiana ended up closer than the game really was.

And most of the computer models use margin of victory as well.

A sixteen team playoff would be great. Let them win it on the field.

No doubt - that is what is needed. Why I hope USC, OU, Auburn all go undefeated this year.

Then it seems that Stoops, doesn't think his second string QB is good enough to
"run up the score". With the new option of early out for underclassmen, it would seem that the redshirt year is a waste for '" the future stars" . They will be gone anyway before their eligibility is used up.

When I watch Louisville play and I see them playing their freshman QB every game a set number of plays, it would seem that they have a good plan. Miami has tried it , but can't keep their QB of the future, healthy, long enough to get in the games. Berlin is a senior along with his backup , Crudup. These guys will be a Soph and a redshirt Freshman, but have no experience to speak of. Neither of them have game experience. One play away from a replacement QB.

Not a good idea to keep the dynasty going full tilt.

It could bite Stoops on the ass.
