I heard this question posed today, and I think it's a good one.
But what do I know, I'm sort of an idiot.

So, my fine feathered friends, would you rather see Philly lose in a blowout right from the get go, or would you rather see Philly lose on the last play of the game?

They both have their fine points to them.
For instance a nice, early, thorough and complete blowout in all phases of the game would allow their fans plenty of time to exit the stadium and ponder their plight and how best to end their miserable existence.
On the other hand, losing on the last play of the game is just so much more heartbreaking. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is just mind-numbing. The kind of feeling where you just sort of stare off into space and drool incessantly and personally I'd like to see 65K Eagle fans do that in unison.

I dunno. I'm torn.

Ooh, that's a good question. I think a come from ahead loss would be great. That way those cocky Eagles fans have been yelling "in your face" all game just to watch is slip away. An early blowout isn't quite as traumatic.

Personally I would like to see them get totally blown out in the first half and then stage a comeback in the second. A comeback that falls just short, like a missed field goal, dropped pass on 4th down, or a fumble in the redzone.

Outstanding. This is a fine answer.
Grab yourself a Fresca from the fridge and enjoy a job well done.

Eagles lead by 6, 1 minute to go McNabb hands to Westbrook fumble, Herman Edwards picks it up and runs in for the winning TD.

It was Edwards who did that on that miracle win over the Giants that convinced every coach in the NFL to just take a knee right?

Backup tie game, last play Vick's pass is intercepted in the endzone and returned 99 yards, Vick tackles the guy at the 1, he fumbles, Vick picks it up and races 99 yards for the game winner.

I wanna see tears on McNabb's cheeks. Falcons come from behind to tie and take it to overtime. Eagles drive to the ATL 40 and McNabb throws a pick which is returned for a TD. No amount of chunky soup can make that pain go away.

I'd like them to come from 20 points down in the second half and actually take a 1 point lead with a minute to go, only to see the Eagles employ the dreaded "prevent defense" and the Falcons kick a 50 yard field goal, in the snow, on the last play of the game to win it.

i'd like to see the eagles actually win the game and then, a week before the superbowl they all turn up missing - kidnapped by ray finkle! as we all know, ace ventura doesn't really exist, so he couldn't find 'em and the next runner up atlanta falcons have to play in the superbowl where they beat a n.e. team that gets so beaten up in pitt this week that there is no question that the eagles would have won had they not gone mysteriously missing. they can all be released one week after the superbowl with an anonymous letter accompanying a cgi'ed videotape of them partying with hookers and watching the superbowl while passing around a bong and making fun of philly locals.

i have no idea where that all just came from.

Gotta go with the heartbreaker, but really any loss will be acceptable. Then, they can brag about being a "poor man's Buffalo Bills". :biglaugh:

I lived in Buffalo at that time. That was a sad time. I cried after that 4th SB loss, of course, I was a little kid at that time.

I don't want them to lose!!!!!! I live about 2 hrs from Philly & most of my friends are Eagles fans & they are rock solid good people. I know the fans there are A$$e$ at times, but decent Eagles fans have suffered long enough. I won't lose any sleep if they lose, but I'll be rooting for them. NO WAY do the Falcons win on Sunday, take that to the bank.

Even though I "think" this is the Eagles' year, after so many champ appearances, I "hope" that they get SPANKED by Atlanta....

I would like to see complete domination on all sides from Atlanta. Leave no question marks left on the field on how Philly "could've won". Or "should've won". Just a complete and dominating blowout like they don't deserve to be standing on the same field as Atlanta...

The Philly fans deserve nothing less than a blowout of such devastating preportions...

I think the Eagles will beat Atlanta and then get throughly dominated by NE in the SB.

Doesn't really matter to me how they lose, as long as at some point in the game, the Eagles fans pelt their own team with batteries, etc.

I want them to win also. I'm biased because McNabb played for 'Cuse. He's a good guy though and I want him to kick but and win the Superbowl so all those idiots that booed him when he was drafted can finally put their stupid foot in their mouth.
