I have a QT icon in my Task bar next to the clock on my Explorer.

I tried to remove the program by going to Add/Remove Programs command but this didn't show up.

I have to right click and "Exit" it to stop the icon, but this does not remove the program, nor are there any options to disable to strt it up.

Anyone know how to uninstall it?

I went to Apple's FAQ page, but again, this program was nowhere to be found in the Add/Remove Program command.

Apple sucks!

I checked on mine, and I have it in add/remove.

Not sure if this is the best idea, but I'd be inclined to install the latest version of quicktime and then do a clean remove from add/remove programs.

There should be an icon in the control panel for quicktime.

You should be able to turn off the systray icon in there with a checkbox.

If not look for it under START: Programs:startup. If there is a shortcut for it in the startup folder delete it.

Also like jw7 said you should probably update to the latest version.

I would say you should keep the program but having the systray icon active is not required to use the program.

Definitely keep the program, you won't be able to do a lot of things on the internet without it.
