Dockett can eat it. According to Urban, Dockett started wanting a new deal only a year after his current contract kicked in. Unbelievable.

The Cards have plenty of time to draft his replacement. Let Dockett play out the remainder of his contract and then let him walk, IMO.

Why would the Cards want to do that? It has already been proven that this does not effect his performance on the field.

Let Dockett play out the remainder of his contract and if he is still running up performances like he did in the Super Bowl re-sign him. If not let him go.

Just like you would any other player.

If Dockett plays out his current contract, like he should, there's no way he will re-sign. He'll be so bitter that he will be on the first plane outta town, which is fine by me.

I'd hate to lose a game changing talent like Dockett. But 3 years is a long time in the NFL. All we can do is wait and see because Darnell isn't getting extended this season.

Which makes you wonder why he and Rosenhaus would even bring it up this year.

That's what doesn't make any sense to me. Its terrible PR. Dockett wasn't promised a new contract like Boldin allegedly was. I often wonder why these guys with their millions don't hire PR people to advise them on things like this.
The guy had an awesome postseason. Instead of bitching about his contract situation he should be doing things to take advantage of his performance.

As an aside: The first thing I would do if I were a pro athlete who just signed a huge contract would be to hire a comedy writer, like someone who writes for Leno, to give me stuff to feed the press. I'd be the most popular player in town. :D

I'm pretty sure I remember this play. DD came in a bit late but did what he could to avoid hitting the RB late. Then the Rams Olineman came in and gave DD a shot. Then you see DD giving a little bit of payback.

DD has demons but the dude is doing everything he can to not hurt the Cards. He has embraced his leadership role on the team and has been mostly well deserving of being elected as a Captain.

9-0 didn't mean to do that! He saw a brown recluse on the grass from being outside & was trying to kill it! ;)

I'm pretty sure it was in retaliation to how their line plays. I'm surprised that the Rams got rid of Incognito. He seems like a Fisher kind of guy.

Nine 0 Rocks!!!

9-0 doesn't take ****, CONSTANTLY takes care of Cards fans in real life, never quits (Take that Whiz), does great charity work, and doesn't care what we think anyway.

9-0 absolutely rocks.

Its football, and that Rams player was obviously on Dockett's patch of grass.

What is the problem ?

I fully understand the situation and support Dockett.....that Rams player should not be there.

Last week he gave my dad his watch at the Chandler Apple store. No kidding. My dad told him it was a nice watch and liked it because it had large, easy-to-see numbers. DD took it off his wrist and gave it to him.

yea

4 sacks in the season- 3 in the superbowl - big game player or regular game slouch? I guess both- He got 2 early contracts and He has earned them at this point- He lost me at the fake injury with Q way back when- the shower and saying He wishes we were more like stupid 9er fans- not too mention the Texas QB's girl friend bozo bomb. but I like all the Cardinals the good and the bad.

Hail Arizona Cardinals, crimson and white,
We'll back you ever, down the field we'll fight.
We'll whip the forty Niners, Rams and the hawks,
We'll win playoffs and super bowl, and do it fair and square.

Dockett did a fairly good job of punking the Steelers in the Super Bowl. Too bad he couldn't also play DB and cover Holmes. We'd be World Champs.

He constantly pays for the meal of anyone in Cards gear at a restaurant he is in. Great guy in the valley.

Good stories, thanks for sharing. I h ave never run into the guy so I wouldnt know but thats awesome.

I rarely respond to your "comments" but you do realize that 4 sacks for a 3/4 DE isn't bad right?

What about this comment said 4 sacks?
