Cardinals defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast, on his game plan: tKitna, on the running game: “Teams have had a hard time running on them in general. We knew it’d be tough, and then you dig yourselves a hole and it’s just, you had no chance. That was disappointing, but we didn’t do anything in the first half — running, throwing, whatever.”

Lions coach Rod Marinelli, on moving forward: “We lost. That is what it is. This team’s got to go straight ahead. We spent too much time worrying about that, this thing stays with you. It stays on your back. I don’t want to do that. I let it go. We’ll watch the tape and move forward.”

Lions right guard Stephen Peterman, on whether it’s easier to bounce back because the Lions have done it before: “It is. That’s one thing we’re good at. If stuff happens like this and we lose, we’ll step up next week and try to win this game at home against the Giants.”

Lions defensive end Jared DeVries: “We didn’t play well today, but this is a good team. Let’s make no mistake. This is a good team. We didn’t play well today, and we’ll get back to work on Monday. This team will bounce back. I have no doubt about that.”

Arizona quarterback Kurt Warner, on bouncing back from last week’s loss to Tampa Bay: “It comes down to each man having to be a man and be a pro and know what they’re not doing, what they’re holding back, what they’re limiting this team to by not giving everything they have each and every day.”

Arizona defensive tackle Darnell Dockett, on how the Cardinals’ linemen got fired up for the game: “We’ve been hearing Shaun Rogers this and Cory Redding that. Everybody said, ‘We hope you can match their intensity.’ We took it as a slap in the face. Our approach as a D-line was to go out here and show that they’ve got to match our intensity.”

Arizona linebacker Karlos Dansby, on his two interceptions and one forced fumble in his first game since an Oct. 14 knee injury: “Just blessed to be back and get the opportunity to come back and play the game that I love.”

Lions quarterback Jon Kitna, on running back Kevin Jones’ four carries for minus-four yards: “He just didn’t have a chance. It was happening in the backfield, as opposed to their side of the line of scrimmage. And that’s always hard. He doesn’t have a chance to get his speed up.”
