Cards v Carolina Redux

I hate sequels.

What is wrong with these guys?

You know what, the Defense did show up to play tonight. They kept fighting but they simply couldn't outplay the 49ers and Cards offense at the same time.

Anyone who claims to be a "darksider" needs to get a freakin' grip. I remember the McGinnis years when we lost to SF 50-14.

Darkside...sheeeit.

A lack of leadership from the players leads to these types of performances. Flame me all you want, but neither Dansby, Dockett, Warner or Boldin are the leaders that this team needs. Dansby is not committed to this team long term. Dockett is worried too much about his money. Warner is that the end of his career. Boldin has issues with management. We do not have the leaders on this team right now to be a consistent team.

You cant blame the Defense when the damn offense turns it over 7 times.

7 TO's

The fact that we only lost by 15 is a CREDIT to the defense.

Boldin was over getting on the guys trying to get them fired up. Then he goes out and fumbles. How Cardinal is that?

These are the new Cardinals. New stadium, new culture, new coach. So now we have a new darkside and the standards have been raised far beyond the McGinnis years.

I always thought I was a darksider, but I mean, we're 8-5 with 2 games up on the second place team...who just swept us for the season. We have a record that is as good or better than 77% of the league. Are we saying that this is the beginning of a 4 game losing streak? Because we've only lost three games in a row one time, and that was in Whiz' first year.

This game really sucked to watch, it was embarrassing, and the Niners should be proud because they came out to win. But I'm not going to freak out.

New standards now. We don't want to have anymore games that suck to watch and that are embarrassing. When the guys that we pay to watch do that the dark side will arise. Just like they do in every other NFL city that has a team capable of contending.

But then we do realize that now the Cards don't play games like this two weeks in a row, or every week for 16 weeks, anymore. Last two games like this were followed by a 3 game winning streak (Colts) and a 4-1 run(Carolina).

It was one game where we stunk up the joint, they did that last year too.

It's all about how we're playing when it counts, we'll see how they do.

Everything will be in place by this time next week. Victory over DET and a 49er loss to PHI.

Irritating that it is the exact same game they played against Carolina.

But you and I know what really happened. I told everyone this week around here that the NFL didn't want the 49ers out of it with 3 games left to play. So they have the Cards commit 7 turnovers and....

;)

:D

It makes you wonder sometimes but who makes better drama than an aging QB who used to bag groceries going to a new team and winning it all at the end of his career for a 2nd shot at redemption?

I can only hope the football God's are fans of that kind of drama.

I want to see more of the "Axe-Viking" offense. That worked out very well.
Enough of the damn shotgun!

This was WORSE than those years. Not being able to compete because you don't have the talent is much different than not competing because you don't have what it takes to show up week in and week out. This team is just as talented as ANY team in this league.

That said, I will not go negative on the Cards...They've come so far from the days where I would be a draft expert by now...We got smoked by a Hall of Fame QB in Manning..our losses our legit by that, our wins our legit...

I actually AM a little worried about the lions game...that's a team these guys could be overlooking specifically because they're so bad (and, for the record, I think they're better this year than people give them credit for). It's not exactly a game they have circled on their calendars.
