As free agency slows to a trickle, the Raiders continue to try to add some under-the-radar pieces to their team. The latest is former Cardinals and Jets defensive tackle Leki Fotu.
Fotu was a fourth round pick by the Cardinals in the 2020 draft out of Utah. He is coming off a season with the Jets in which he was lost to injury in the second game. The prior season in Arizona, he had a career-high in sacks (2.5) and tackles for loss (five) and solo tackles (15) with 28 combined tackles.
The 6-5, 335-pounder has appeared in 58 career games with 22 starts while playing both nose tackle and defensive tackle. He is expected to compete for snaps at nose tackle with Jonah Laulu to add depth in rotation behind starters Christian Wilkins and Adam Butler.
