Rain puts Tigers-Twins showdown on hold (AP)

The scheduled game between the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers has been postponed because of rain. Locked in a tight race for the AL Central title, the teams were supposed to begin a four-game series Monday night that could decide the division crown. Instead, the opener will be made up Tuesday as part of a day-night doubleheader.
