The wife and I battled boredom to make it all the way through My Super Ex-Girlfriend last weekend. It was strangely well written (in terms of dialogue) but underacted and underdirected, except for a few shining moments with Rainn Wilson as "the funny side character with the hip glasses and raging sex drive."
It was then that I realized Rainn Wilson is potentially the next Jeff Goldblum sans the irritating stuttering with mouth agape. Wilson delivered every line of geeky sexual innuendo with picture-perfect dry punctuation.
He seems like the best candidate to take nerdy hipness to a post-modern Goldblum extreme.
