Although there are still four months until the start of the 2025 season, the Los Angeles Rams' roster is taking shape. They made meaningful additions in free agency and selected six players in the draft over the weekend, giving us a better idea of what this team will look like come September.

There's still a chance the Rams will trade for a veteran like Jalen Ramsey or sign a few free agents before the season starts, so that's something to keep in mind, too.

But as of now, this is how the Rams' roster could look in Week 1 – barring injuries and surprise cuts following training camp. Our 53-man roster projection has all six rookie draft picks making the team and though it's too early to say an undrafted free agent will stick on the 53-man squad, it's possible someone will stand out in camp.

Quarterback (2)

  • Matthew Stafford
  • Jimmy Garoppolo

In our last projection, we had the Rams keeping three quarterbacks – the third being Stetson Bennett, mostly as a placeholder for a rookie. However, after the team opted to pass on the position altogether during and after the draft, it's hard to imagine them keeping three quarterbacks in 2025. With Garoppolo back, Bennett won't have a path to the QB2 spot so he'll likely be on the chopping block in late August.

Running back (4)

  • Kyren Williams
  • Blake Corum
  • Jarquez Hunter
  • Ronnie Rivers

Cody Schrader gets dropped from this projection in favor of the rookie Hunter. This is a really solid backfield and legitimately one of the best in the NFL with Williams at the top. Both Williams and Corum will get pushed by Hunter for playing time because of his speed and big-play ability, so all three should see snaps in 2025.

Wide receiver (6)

  • Puka Nacua
  • Davante Adams
  • Tutu Atwell
  • Jordan Whittington
  • Xavier Smith
  • Konata Mumpfield

The top three are pretty much set, with Whittington potentially mixing in as a fourth option. Smith is mostly on the team for his return value, so Mumpfield could overtake him rather quickly as a pure receiver.

No matter how this group shakes out on the depth chart, it's plenty talented.

Tight end (4)

  • Tyler Higbee
  • Terrance Ferguson
  • Colby Parkinson
  • Davis Allen

Knowing what a steep learning curve it is for tight ends going from college to the NFL, Higbee will probably remain the starter initially. Ferguson could overtake Parkinson because of his receiving ability, which Parkinson has shown very little of during his pro career thus far. Allen's spot is in real danger after the selection of Ferguson and it wouldn't be a surprise if the Rams looked to move on from Parkinson, too, with $5.125 million in savings on the table as a post-June 1 cut.

Offensive line (9)

  • Alaric Jackson
  • Steve Avila
  • Coleman Shelton
  • Kevin Dotson
  • Rob Havenstein
  • Beaux Limmer
  • Warren McClendon Jr.
  • A.J. Arcuri
  • Justin Dedich

As of now, the five starters are pretty much set. Beaux Limmer will be the backup at center and possibly guard, so he should be safe from being cut. After the Rams ignored the offensive tackle spot in the draft, McClendon and Arcuri's stock are both on the rise, too.

Defensive line (7)

  • Kobie Turner
  • Poona Ford
  • Braden Fiske
  • Tyler Davis
  • Ty Hamilton
  • Larrell Murchison
  • Desjuan Johnson

Seven defensive linemen is a lot to keep on the 53-man roster, but if the Rams want to rotate their guys as much as it seems they do, it makes sense. Hamilton will need to compete with Davis for snaps up front, while Murchison and Johnson are just trying to make the team this fall.

Outside linebacker (5)

  • Jared Verse
  • Byron Young
  • Josaiah Stewart
  • Nick Hampton
  • Brennan Jackson

When you look at how little proven talent the Rams had backing up Verse and Young, it's easy to understand why they picked up Stewart. He should be playing meaningful snaps fairly early on as a rookie, with Hampton and Jackson also competing for playing time.

Inside linebacker (4)

  • Omar Speights
  • Chris Paul Jr.
  • Nate Landman
  • Troy Reeder

The Rams added Paul to their inside linebacker group in the draft, which could make a big difference for this group. Speights and Landman are both downhill run stoppers so one of them could still play a lot on early downs, but Paul's range and athleticism might get him on the field on third down often. Shaun Dolac is an undrafted rookie to watch here and could overtake Reeder at some point.

Cornerback (5)

  • Darious Williams
  • Ahkello Witherspoon
  • Cobie Durant
  • Emmanuel Forbes
  • Josh Wallace

No cornerbacks were added in the draft so Forbes should feel a little bit safer coming out of the weekend. The Rams could save $3.4 million in cap space by cutting Kendrick after June 1 so that will be taken into consideration, especially if they make a move for Jalen Ramsey via trade.

Safety (4)

  • Kamren Curl
  • Quentin Lake
  • Kamren Kinchens
  • Jaylen McCollough

Not much is going to change with this group, particularly after the Rams didn't draft a safety. Lake could be penciled in at cornerback or safety thanks to his versatility but we'll keep him at safety for now. McCollough shined as an undrafted rookie and should be around for another year.

Special teams (3)

  • K Joshua Karty
  • P Ethan Evans
  • LS Alex Ward

Karty, Evans and Ward seemed to get better as the season went on and there's nothing to suggest the Rams will make a change on special teams this year.
