The Los Angeles Rams sit at a nice position in the 2025 NFL Draft. While they won't be in contention for the top prospects at the No. 26 pick (unless they make a big trade up), the Rams own a pick that could be coveted if a team later in the draft wants to move up, or if someone who's already made a selection wants to move back into the first round.

L.A. has some big needs it should fill in the draft, such as linebacker and cornerback, but general manager Les Snead needs to be judicious with his strategy. The Rams have the No. 26 pick but don't make another selection until No. 96. If an opportunity presented itself, trading back and picking up more picks wouldn't be a bad idea.

That's exactly what NFL.com's Chad Reuter has the Rams doing in his newest four-round mock draft. Much like in another recent mock draft, the Rams move back in the first round to grab an extra third-round pick. In Reuter's mock, L.A. makes a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles for the No. 32 pick and takes Texas receiver Isaiah Bond. The Rams acquire the No. 96 pick in the third round in this trade scenario.

"The Rams move down in the first round to get a third pick in the third round, an area of the draft in which general manager Les Snead and his scouts have excelled in recent years," Reuter wrote. "They still find an immense talent available at No. 32, though, in Bond. His suddenness after the catch and willingness to take (and make) hits despite his slight build give him an outside shot of joining Texas teammate Matthew Golden in Round 1."

NFL.com's Lance Zierlein compared Bond to the Miami Dolphins' wideout Jaylen Waddle because both are fast and adept pass-catchers who played on NFL-ready offenses. Bond ran a 4.39 40-yard dash time, which was fast but not a record-breaking speed like he promised before the NFL Combine. He finished this past season with 540 yards and five touchdowns on 34 catches. Bond caught 99 receptions for 1,428 yards and 10 touchdowns in 41 games at Texas.

The rest of the mock draft predicts the Rams go mostly defense, which one exception. Here are the other four picks, including the No. 96 pick acquired in the hypothetical Eagles trade:

  • No. 90: Louisville CB Quincy Riley
  • No. 96: Syracuse WR/TE Oronde Gadsden II
  • No. 101: Oklahoma LB Danny Stutsman
  • No. 127: Maryland DT Jordan Phillips

Riley would fill a need at cornerback and give the Rams some more depth in the secondary. He tallied three interceptions this past season with eight career interceptions in 37 games for Louisville.

Gadsden II is an intriguing prospect because he toes the line of pass-catching tight end and big slot receiver. He's 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds who has had two 900-yard receiving seasons in four years at Syracuse. It would be interesting to see him in Sean McVay's offense as either the next starting tight end or a complementary receiver piece.

Stutsman would fill the much-needed void at linebacker for the Rams. He was a tackling machine at Oklahoma with 376 combined stops 47 games, including more than 100 in the past three seasons. Stutsman finished with three interceptions and eight sacks during his career, too.

Phillips gives the Rams more depth on the interior after the team lost Bobby Brown III. He wasn't very productive at Maryland (58 combined tackles, no sacks) but his 6-foot-3, 320-pound frame gives him good strength in the middle of the defensive line.
