Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua is gearing up for a big season in Year 3 of his NFL career.
The former fifth-round pick will play a pivotal role in the Rams' season once more, this time with a new running mate in Davante Adams. While he's already had two very good seasons (184 receptions for 2,476 yards and nine touchdowns in 28 games), Nacua told Good Morning Football that he's preparing his body for a bigger role in 2025.
Nacua will only be 24 when the 2025 season starts, which is a big boon for a Rams team with some aging stars on offense. Adams is 32, Matthew Stafford is 37 and right tackle Rob Havenstein will be 33. Nacua is the future of this team, and his third season will be an important one to continue to impressive young career.
That's why he's focusing on changing his body a bit. As Nacua mentioned, he's a receiver who invites contact. It's part of the reason why he's been hobbled during his short career. While he missed five games from Weeks 2 to 7 after re-aggravating an offseason knee injury, Nacua's workout and diet changes will hopefully prevent that from happening again.

“I feel like I’ve gotten stronger in this offseason," he said. "I’ve slimmed down a little bit, maybe narrowed down the body fat percentage by building that muscle back up. I’m excited. I enjoy the physicality part of the game. That’s what wakes me up in the morning.
"Being out there on the football field and start running around, making guys miss but then also punishing defenders is something I look forward to and it makes me excited to get back out there on the football field.”
