If true, it puts Boston back in the #1 position in the East IMO. Could be a big move for Boston, this year has been a real arms race between the league elite. I can't remember the last time I saw this much talent moving teams in such a short span of time.

What do you guys think? Good move for Boston? Or a waste of money?

It's a weird offseason because no one wants to spend.

Good move to bolster their starting 5, but they are losing Leon Powe and could lose Glen Davis also. That would make their bench extremely weak.

I just assumed that Wallace would backup Garnett and provide insurance. If they're losing Davis though what are they going to do? Move Garnett to center and start Wallace at the 4?

Good move. It deepens their front court and give them some insurance at that position. I felt that when KG went down they lost that versatility that he brought up front. However, if the rumors are true the Celtics are trying to move both Rondo and Allen. Those would be huge losses IMO that even the Wallace acquisition won't make up for.

So, for now good move but I won't say Boston is a lock for the East if they move Rondo and Allen. Hell, I think even with just trading Allen they are giving up too much clutch shooting which was huge for them the year they won the title.
