I think we will have the opportunity to select a great defender with one of our second round picks. Paul Harris, Danny Green, Toney Douglas, and Darren Collison are all solid perimeter defenders who could possibly be there at one of our 2 picks in the second round (Collison will probably be gone).

Collison's defense hasn't been the same since his knee surgery as a junior. Just doesn't pressure the ball as well, and he's been overpowered by bigger guards. Love the kid but I don't think he's strong enough for the NBA beyond a role player spot.

Great kid though.

You may well be right. However, he would be a great late first round pick or early second round pick.

I discovered an interesting link below from DraftExpress on another forum sunstalknet( http://sunstalk.net/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=2&sid=986b06ec7022b372e6b4381cef58d7d2). It is quite a good site but could use more traffic.

The pre-draft measurements are eye opening. DraftExpress notes measurements without shoes and with shoes.

Note Daye has better height than James Johnson and Blair is smaller than expected. I have started to single in on Mullens as a big I like plus there is a nice batch of PGs (including Flynn) which, IMO, are NBA caliber.

if those measurements are accurate there is simply no way you can draft dajuan blair that high. he's 6'5 - 6'6 without the mad athleticism of barkley. pass.

These are my thoughts as well. This is why I have moved on to other bigs and PG prospects.

From what I've seen of the Final Four and profiles on the net, I think I'd go something like this today:

Brandon Jennings
Jonny Flynn
James Johnson
Austin Daye
Tyreke Evans
DeJuan Blair
B.J. Mullens
Earl Clark
Stephen Curry
Gerald Henderson
Ty Lawson
Wayne Ellington
Eric Maynor
Jeff Teague
Chase Budinger

I tend to agree, he's Byron Houston part 2, great college player, no NBA position.

wow, that's exactly who i was thinking of, but didn't say it 'cuz houston didn't have quite the same girth (not a positive) as blair.

It seems to be a very weak draft. I can't imagine paying #1 pick money to Blake Griffin and it gets weak after him.
