Re-watched last years Bears game.

Several things stood out.

Oliver Ross(Who I had been VERY down on) Was starting RT. I watched him close since it looks like he is gonna start again. The guy was a lot more physical than I remembered. He does a good job run blocking & does have a very strong hand punch. He was a better pass blocker than I thought. I truly think the Oline scheme was very bad, and it made it difficult for our OT's.

If Whiz plans to run the ball as much as he says(And we have success with it). Our passing game, with less passing attempts, shorter first down yardage needed(more 3 step drops & quick hitting throws). Will take tons of pressure off our OT's.

In conclusion I feel a lot better about Ross as our starting OT, then before Whiz & Grimm were here.

On a side note, Gabe Watson & Gerald Hayes were difference makers.

about the same time my section started chanting " BEAT THE TRAFFIC" boy did that one back fire on us!!!

Gabe was terrific against the run in that game. He played against two pro bowlers (LG Brown, C Kreutz) and they couldn't even move him. Eric Green is another guy that impressed me in that game. He knocked down some passes and he also dished out some big hits. Oh and Antrel needs to work on his ball skills.

I still had no problem watching the game I just turned it off after the third quater and assumed we won. I agree Ross did not look bad in that game I just rememberr to many times when Leinart was in trouble from Ross's side. Also the run game seemed to work better once Ross, Step were replaced. I still have hope that Grimm will be the difference.

Who will ever forget where they were on that infamous evening. I called my son (cardsfanmd) to make sure that my grandson wasn't left father-less. I then sat in my office with the lights off for almost 2 hours. My wife couldn't go to bed because she was concerned I might drop dead. After the initial heartbreak, it became a bitter-sweet situation. The only thing that allowed me to finally go to sleep was that Denny's fate was sealed. I had consistently given him the benefit of the doubt, but this game made everything perfectly clear. In the long run, it may turn out to be a blessing. I love the Whisenhunt hiring. I truly, truly believe that he is the perfect tonic for what ails us - TOUGHNESS & LACK OF DISCIPLINE. I hated the DG hiring because that was exactly his downfall in Minnesota. Whiz will still bring a strong offensive mind, but more importantly, he'll build a physical, smash-mouth attitude to an organization in dire need of it.

I remember the only thing that helped me get through that awful night was coming on here and commiserating with fellow fans until the wee hours of the morning. I think the whole nation (except the Bears contingent) felt for us that night. Which makes it worse--had things gone just slightly differently, they would have been filled with admiration instead of pity.
