Real Madrid name XI for Villarreal clash

The hotly-contested 2024/25 La Liga campaign rages on for Real Madrid as the Spanish giants look to keep pace with rivals Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid this weekend.



Los Blancos currently sit joint top of the table alongside Barça (who have a match in hand) and just one point clear of Atleti, and will have to find solutions away from home today as they travel to fifth-sitting Villarreal.

Having stuttered in recent weeks on the domestic front, a tricky away day could present yet another roadblock for Carlo Ancelotti's outfit but may still feel buoyant after their progression in the Champions League after their shootout win over Atleti in midweek.
