Does anyone else watch this show? I have my DVR set to record any new episodes. We were watching the one with Robin Williams last night. Holy Crow, Williams was hilarious. He had the entire crew cracking up and Bill Maher pretty much gave up trying to reel him in by the end of the show. It was a great show.

I download it every week. I totally agree with you about Robin Williams. That show was hilarious.

I did not see it, but Robin Williams is by far my favorite comedian.

I watch Bill Maher's show every week. I feel weird if I miss it. He's well-read, and he's the one guy on TV that's most similiar to my own views.

My wife is a big-time democrat. I used to be a republican, but now I’m just a guy that cares about individual issues. My wife agrees with pretty much everything he says and I have fun making jabs during the show when I can to try and irritate her. (you have to do stuff like this when you’ve been married for 10 years :) )

:biglaugh:

You can do this at 5 years of marriage. My wife is the same, but with Fox News for some strange reason.

Just to clarify, Maher is a Libertarian, not a Democrat. :D

And damn funny, if you read my signature... ;)

I was trying to download the 10/13 show, but couldn't find at first because the torrent was mislabeled. In the meantime I discovered that HBO has the last five episodes up for free on itunes (but they don't put it up until the Tuesday following the Friday airing).

I love the show. But Maher is as libertarian as that nut job O'Reilly.

You cant be 100% one sided in your view and claim to be libertarian. Because, to libertarians such as myself, both sides have absolutely lost it.

What in your mind does NOT make him Libertarian?

He never mentiosn states rights, whatever the DNC says (right or wrong) he runs with it. What ever the RNC says (right or wrong) he hates it.

Its like saying Rick Santorum is stuck in the middle, or Libertarian.

That's just not true. Certainly he makes fun of Republicans much more, but your assertion that he agrees with whatever the Democrats say is just plain wrong.

Either you haven't watched the show enough, where you are a defensive Republican. Right now, the Republicans, especially defenders of this administration, are a very easy target. He takes his shots at the Democrats as well though. He so is talking about how the Democrats lack a concise plan of their own, and that they will find some way to blow this upcoming election.

The only thing I don't like about Bill Maher is his support of PETA

Costanza was awful on the show last night. Did he even say a word other than "Im the dumb guy"?

I just watched that one. The panel of guys was awful. Both of his interviews were really good, but eventually I just fast-forwarded thru to the ending.

What's funny is that his best shows are frequently the ones where Ben Affleck is on the panel.

Anybody watch the recent HBO special ("The Decider")? I really liked "Victory Begins At Home" (2003). I sort of liked "I'm Swiss" (2005). This recent one was just okay. Too much of the same material.

No kidding, I think he was a guest on the last episode of the previous season. I had no idea how well he knew his politics. He was on a roll.

There are a small group of celebrities who really know what they're talking about--a lot of them are surprising, like Alec Baldwin and Ben Affleck. Bradley Whitford is also pretty good.

I know it has been a while, but does anyone know why they took this show off ABC?
