Realistically, what does it take for Kliff/Keim to get fired this year?

The easiest path for Bidwill is to fire Kliff, and make Vance the new HC. This means Keim wouldn't need to hire "another" HC. Then we would be in a another Wilks HC situation with Vance being the new Wilks.

Firing Kliff and having Keim oversee ANOTHER HC hiring would be almost impossible from a respectability standpoint.

Yeah, Kingsbury should be let go. He simply can’t get the job done. But my concern is with the GM, whose drafts have been awful for years. And his FA signings have been less than stellar. Curious if anyone is aware of number of other HCs who also serve as offensive coordinator?

As OC or play caller? Tons of Head Coaches are their teams' primary play caller.

Nobody's getting fired at least for another 2-3 years so strap-in for a bumpy ride.

Nothing will happen this year. It’s almost to the point where we need to root for losses because 2-15, 4-13 would almost gaurantee change. It won’t be Keim.
My biggest fear is us going on a mini 3 game meaningless win streak to end the season 6-11 and allow for reason to stay the course.

It will not be Keim. Keim will be in the draft in April. Don't like it? Then one has to Stop following Cardinals.

i dont know

Mike B CLEARLY expected playoffs this year.

a 6-11 kinda season where the losses look like yesterday: its hard to sell a fan base that things will get better coming off of something like that

Mike B doesn't expect them to be in playoffs. His mandate is don't embarrass the organization.

That ship has sailed long ago.

And yet it keeps coming back for more.

i think its easier to part with Keim than Kliff

Mike B has two guys in the building who could step in: Adrian Wilson and Quentin Harris. My money is on Wilson. Would be very in-line with Bidwill proclivities: ex-Cardinal player, long experience inside the building, etc.

Kliff is harder to replace in-season
Harris would be the MUCH better choice.

Even if Kliff isn’t fired during the season, he will probably get axed after it. One thing MB can do is to take play calling duties away from Kliff RIGHT NOW. And make that person the OC the remainder of the season. Hopefully that drives Kliff over the edge & he resigns. VJ would be yet another disaster if the Cardinals hired him full time as HC. INTERIM ONLY!

The last 12 games & counting says otherwise. If this season plays out like it has so far, & a slow start next year there’s NO WAY Kliff survives thru the half way point of next season at the latest. NO WAY!

FWIW:

if you let go Kliff / Vance as HC

Cam Turner is the likely new OC. Probably would call plays as well.

to be clear: it will be the same offense. You cant really change too much mid-season.

what would change: what plays get called, formations, some tweaks, etc.

the wildcard: does Kyler consider himself in charge at that point and he treats Turner's stuff as suggestions rather than actual play calls

who though? the WR coach? the QB coach? Kliff has this set up so that there is no replacement.

Not sure it’ll matter. Probably Turner or Whipple. If you take that toy away from KK, he’ll be staring at hot chicks in the stands instead of burying his face into that damn sheet of paper. Nothing bad can happen if we do that.
