I hoped last night's defeat is a wakeup call for Frank Johnson and most of the players. I only fear that it will somehow lead to more gimmick basketball, otherwise known as "skill ball".

Casey Jacobsen actually appears to be playing better basketball, but I don't want to see him in the game unless he is playing next to two forwards, a center, and another guard.

Of course it's still early. Even after they lose to Houston on Friday the Phoenix Suns will still be just 3-5. That's not a very good start, but it's not disastrous either.
