I can not honestly believe the Cards trained for 6 weeks and came out and played like that.
Razors edge....shoot they're more the handle then they are the blade.
They suck!
7 months of prep and Palmer can't see red from blue.
Damn the excuses.....they stunk Detroit up worse than it already is.
That stench we can smell it all the way from Flagstaff to Tucson.
BA did not have them ready.
Grades
BA fail
Players Fail
Wow I didn't see that coming...a whoopin' Adrian Peterson would be proud of.
wow

The same thing happened last year... they looked like trash in the preseason and got very limited reps and yea it's the preseason so we were told to chill out and they would be ready for regular season and looked just as bad and unprepared.

Something is rotten is Glendale...
and it's been a couple years in the making and Palmer's performance is just helping to waft it around so even those without a keen sense of smell and the ones trying to cover it up with air freshener can't help but get a whiff of it now.

Almost every team, even the winners, played like hot garbage yesterday. It's not Cardinals specific.

Agreed. Every game I saw was a mess. The NFL is so huge, it's like a quality product doesn't even matter anymore. At some point it will.

I think they need to rethink preseason. What they are doing now is not working to get teams ready for the regular season. The best players barely make the field in preseason. So, the first couple of games they are truly getting into game shape. That said, why waste time? No preseason. Straight into regular season.

Drop preseason and allow teams to actually practice again

I think this type of reaction to that game is more than fair.

It is one thing to get beat, it is another to perform the way they did.

Neither team looks like a professional.....well, anything. That was pretty poor football being played by supposed professionals.

The Cardinals, well, they took their chance this year to try to rebuild AND contend, and the end result looks pretty poor at the moment. Guys like Iupati, John Brown, and Tyrann Mathieu should be playing for their jobs this year, IMHO.

Do not get me wrong, I would like to keep Mathieu, but not at his current salary. He is no longer an elite athlete, just a banged up vet who is a step too slow.

48 hrs and it is on to the Colts.

My friend and I must have said about 10 times something along the lines of how ugly of a game we were watching. It was BAD.

Not that it impacted this game as the Cardinals deserved to lose, but I also saw some horrible officiating yesterday in a few games I watched. I mean just plain bad. Would lose my mind if I was a coach in this league.

I think it's the lack of a reaction that irritates me. The "Whisenhunt-esque", deadpan "don't worry, we'll correct in practice" is starting to fall on deaf ears in fanland I think. What I wanted to hear Steve Keim say this morning was "This is unacceptable and if it doesn't get corrected, it will start costing jobs". Last year, a lot of people expressed concern all through pre-season "Oh they don't count don't worry".. and then the first embarrassing game with New England, and then the next three games.. and it seems that this is all part of a trend that started with that loss to Carolina or even a game or two before. All the time we were told not to worry. After last year, this team should have come out hell-bent on erasing the bad games and reestablishing themselves. Instead we're back to "mysteriously unprepared" lol

We had two just awful calls go against us. Iupati being flagged for chopping the legs of a lineman from behind (obviously absurd, because that would mean he actually blocked someone) when he just fell at his feet. And, the stupid call on Gresham for holding (we still did score on that drive).

I get where you're coming from, but no GM will say that after game 1. Now if this is the scenario were 8-9 games in, we might be hearing that.

It's one game chicken little. An early game traveling east, well odds are you lose.

Did you say the same thing last year when they ended up 7-8-1?

Yes, it is one game but did anyone really expect the Lions would win that game even though they were at home? I didn't. This isn't old Cards where they played anywhere east of Holbrook, AZ and it was a guaranteed loss.

If the Cards win by 30+ all will be forgotten.

and if we only beat the 'Luck-less' Colts by 3, what then ?
the Rams pummeled them by 49 to 6.... if we merely squeak by the Colts, it does NOT mean we are on the right track, it means we are just barely better than what may be one of the worst teams in the NFL right now...

It means the season's not over. I want at least one more week to delude myself we aren't completely done.

Then there is an issue.

That's about what I'm thinking. Win by enough to keep everyone from slitting their wrists.. At least until after the Crowboys game.
