Really good deals on memory cards for cameras right now

Both Best Buy and Tiger Direct have SDHC cards essentially half off and if you buy enough free shipping.

We're going to Philippines end of January so I bought (4) 8gb cards and (1) 16gb card between the 2 sites, a total of $76 off normal price.

Those are the kind of deals I love because I know eventually we'll use the cards even if we don't use them all on our trip.

You have to be careful on Amazon. They apparently had a real problem with counterfeit cards there. I was looking on that site and in several of the reviews for the cards I was looking at there were mine was not a real such and such card .

They do have excellent prices but I was afraid to trust them for cards.

I also discovered that Circuit City, Tiger Direct and CompUSA are essentially all the same they're merging but it's not final. This worked to my advantage they all had limit of 1 deals on cards I bought more than half off, but I was able to buy one from EACH site to get around the 1 limit.

Good deal then. Yeah I actually bought 2 cards from Best Buy as well but they also had a 1 card per person limit on the deal. So I bought 1 8GB and 1 16 and again got free shipping.

I don't know how they make any money on a card that's 10-12 bucks with free shipping even ground I don't see how they make any profit.

So for our trip we have for blank cards (1) 4GB (5) 8GB and (1) 16 gb. We seem to get between 14 and 1500 pics for a 8 gb card so we're in the 9 to 10K pics range. I don't think even my girlfriend can take that many pics in about 17 days but we'll see.
