It sure looks like the Yankees are going to win the World Series as they are up 2 games to one. This sure won't help ease the pain the Red Sox fans are experiencing. Check this one post by a Boston fan.

When the homerun by Boone was hit it took me till the next morning to really grasp what happened. I cant get it out of mind. This year felt different than any other and when it ended It was so hard to comprehend. Part of me say "I cant wait till next year" the other part of me says "I cant go through this again". I feel like I need a damn shrink to deal with this crap. Oh well. I still love cheering for the Sox. Even though Im on my own down here in Texas. Anyway, I just needed to vent. GO SOX.

Florida has played it's best when the team has been behind, so hopefully this trend will continue. Go Marlins, keep that undefeated series streak going!!

It looked much bleaker for the Marlins when trailing the Cubs 3-1, so far too early to count them out.... though they really do need to even the series tomorrow, as it's hard to imagine them coming back from a 3-1 margin again.

OK, Series is evened, and in a Fish win that I think reminded them how to play their game; pushed those two NY strippers back out of the way.

On Red Sox fans - not sure they ever 'recover' - this gets woven into the mythic tapestry of bitter last-minute defeats - it fits the franchise history perfectly.

Meanwhile, Grady Little probably sealed his fate - he reportedly said as he left Boston that he's not sure he'd want to come back to manage that team, although pretty much expects to be fired. My fantasy - Yankees lose the WS, George fires Cashman and Torre, and Boston hires Torre. Just - no Zimmer, please. Heh heh.
