Red Sox OF Crawford suffers leg injury (AP)

Carl Crawford injured his left hamstring while running out an infield single for the Boston Red Sox in the first inning on Friday night. The speedy left fielder was hurt while reaching first base against the Milwaukee Brewers just ahead of the throw from Casey McGehee. Boston manager Terry Francona and a trainer went out to check Crawford, who held the back of his left leg above the knee.
