Okay guys this message board has been slow as snot this week. If I had the time and patience I would go through and figure out the ages of each player and group them by age based on when they would have been done with four years of college.

So if the 1995 draft was held today, what would the top 10 look like?

Joe

That's just based on the players who were drafted; I don't know if there were any good players who went undrafted in 1995.

Oh, you can see the old draft at http://nbadraft.net/1995.htm. Just type in whatever year you're interested in. They have separate pages for every draft since 1990, and then if you put in 1989, it gives you all ten drafts of the 80s.

1. Kevin Garnett
2. Rasheed Wallace
3. Michael Finley
4. Jerry Stackhouse
5. Antonio McDyess (only because of injuries)
6. Brent Barry
7. Damon Stoudamire
8. Kurt Thomas
9. Eric Snow
10. Corliss Williamson

There's no doubt in my mind that Michael Finley would be taken before Jerry Stackhouse. I think if Antonio McDyess had been remotely healthy over the last several years he would probably be either second or third.

My reasoning was that Finley is a better player, but Stackhouse has the personality to be a team's primary option. If either of them was going to be your team's leader and best player, you'd probably be better off with Stackhouse.

Besides, Joe Mama, you have Eric Snow before Theo Ratliff, so what do you know? :p

Doh! Theo Ratliff! I forgot all about him. Well, if I'm going to knock down Antonio McDyess because of his history of injuries I've got to do the same for Ratliff. I did forget about him though.

I do disagree about Stackhouse's personality versus Finley's. I just can't see a single GM in the league wanting Stackhouse instead of Finley its salary is not a consideration.
