I actually rented this movie and was highly disappointed and didn't really get it.

It was made in 1936 by a church group intending to warn parents about the dangers of their children smoking pot. It's the film equivalent of telling your teenage boys they'll grow hair on their palms.

man, we used to just get stoned to the b'jeezus and pop this movie in and howl at the first 20 minutes. Then, we'd get bored and turn it off to do gravity hits. It didn't quite have the effect on us that propagan-- er, filmmakers probably wanted it to.

I used to own it, but I lent it to someone and never got it back. It's pretty funny the first time, but it gets boring after a while. I love the slower pace of old movies, but this movie lags way too much.
