Dan Reeves might be the coach the Cardinals pursue. He has vast coaching experience, he won't ask for the moon in salary, he can put together a solid staff, he knows how to run a draft (de-facto gm while in Denver) and he is a down to earth person. Look at the past Cardinal coaches: McGinnis, Tobin, Ryan, Bugel, Stallings and Hanifan were all plain spoken men. Other than Buddy Ryan's bravado and Hanifan's use for profanity all of the above coaches were approachable, engaging, hard workers, and didn't "stirr" things up too often. Yes Reeves fit's the Bidwill hiring profile and he might move to the top of the list as of today.

Plain spoken? The guy sounds like he has a mouth full of marbles.

I thought Reeves would be high on the Cards' list, but I hear his asking price is pretty high considering he just came off a sad season.

He would be a solid choice and a step forward. He may not be the best coach 5 years from now, but for the immediate future he would be fine.

Reeves could be the guy

Plus, less we forget he has been in a wheelchair for the past decade since his horseriding accident. How is he supposed to rally up the troops when he can't even breath on his own? :doi:

That's BAD well I guess it would take Superman to get this team on the right track.

Dan Reeves has only had 2 winning seasons as headcoach in the past 9 seasons.

I would like to see Jimmy Johnson, Tom Coughlin or Romeo Crennel as the new coach.

Keannu can't even act, he would be a horrible coach.

Yeah but he played Ohio State QB Johnny Utah in the movie Point Break....he couldn't do much worse than the current stable of QB's that we have....and I do mean stables.

He was also a quarterback in the replacements. Dude's got awesome credentials. He could totally turn around our bogus franchise.

I would love to see Joey Lawrence and Keanue Reeves in a movie together.

Whoa!

Whoooaaaa.

Whoa!

Whooooaaaaa.

Now for my obligatory on topic post of the day. Reeves isn't a great coach. He doesn't suck but he isn't better than average either. He's kind of blah. There will be better coaches available after the season. I say *ducks* let's wait and see. I want to get the best coach available, not the first coach available.

At first glance Reeves (Dan) looks like a decent choice but I hope management doesnt jump on him until they check out ALL other available candidates.

Keanu wouldnt be a bad QB though, anyone who can dodge bullets in the matrix should have no problem avoiding a 300 pound DE.

It appears that since management and our present coaching staff has accepted mediocrity for so long, it has spread to us fans. I want absolutely nothing to do w/ Reeves. The guy has two winning seasons in the past nine years. Look what happened to them once Vick went down. I'd rather take a gamble on a coordinator.

Hey Mao, Is your Glass Joe avatar supposed to be our mighty QB Josh?

It could be even though I might actually promote Josh to Von Kaiser status after throwing 2 TDs w/ no INTs last week.

The avatar actually refers to the Cardinals play on the road this year. Glass Joe is the only comparison I could think of.
