Regarding KT and the Suns

I always see Suns fans irate here because of Sarver letting KT go to another team.

Can someone educate me on this?

What was his status--i.e., was there something the Suns needed that prompted the move?

What did the Suns get in return?

i like the KT to spurs....not because KT isnt good, i think he is, but barry was such a sun killer, at least it seemed that way to me. im glad he's gone.
