We got really lucky on that one.

But..... We deserve some every once and a while.

poorly officiated game

on that play, it should have been 3rd and goal at the 1 foot line-- Edge was down before the ball came out

Thats what I was thinking.
I can understand mistakes made by refs in real time.. But how bad do you have to be to screw up such an obvious call with the benefit of HD replay? :doi:

Exactly right. Also, isn't there a rule that you can't advance a fumble unless fumbler recovers? I don't understand how they came up with such a screwy result. It looked clear to me that Edge is down on the one foot line, either by his non-ball carrying forearm or knee, then the ball comes out.

That's only at the end of the game. Or is it the end of each half? I forget. But the "Holy Roller" rule only comes into play when the clock is running down.

the last five minutes of the game -- only the fumbler can advance the ball(and maybe the half as well, but I am not sure)

Right on, thanks. I swear, I learn more rules by hanging out on this board. Membership has its privileges.

On fourth down, or on any down inside the last two minutes of either half, only the fumbling player can recover the ball for a gain. If anyone else on the fumbling team recovers, the ball is returned to the spot of the fumble.

Are they "sweaty" stinky or are they "smells like a bad night out with the boys that went WAY too far" stinky?
