I spoke to a friend of mine yesterday who's a former player and is still affiliated with the cardinals and he said Quan isn't going anywhere. He said he spoke to yesterday and he's definitely unhappy but the Cardinals are handcuffed right now. He also said they told Quan he needs to get through a full season healthy before they even consider Fitz numbers. He said the bidwills didn't promise anything other than negotiations and Quan will play out the season trying to stay healthy as more leverage for the a new contract. Apparently Micheal Bidwill is getting a kick out of the quan rumors too......he will be a cardinal this year.

As every one knows, Drew Rosenhaus plays hardball, but he also gets deals done. I may be delusional, but I really believe Anquan wants to be in Arizona. You can see Drew's fingerprints all over this situation, even in the outrage expressed against Whis. Think back to how Chad Johnson exploded against Carson Palmer when Palmer said it would all blow over. It turned out Palmer was right, and though Johnson WAS upset, his only recourse if he wanted to play, was to come back to the Bengals.

I am as hard as anybody on Cardinals management, but they aren't totally clueless. They realize what they have in Anquan Boldin. Deals don't happen when a player is NOT part of the core, or flashes good play for only a short period, like the Calvin Pace situation.

I can care less about it, personally.

My concerns with him will start on September 7th.

Many talk about how this will "effect the team", well his play on the field is the only thing that can really effect this team.

With the nasty things Q has said I cannot believe he really wants to be a Cardinal. His words are more than just stinging. He cannot put them back in a box and shut it. He wants out of here and he wants money. He has had an injury problem recently and I agree with Bidwill if he said that Boldin needs to prove he can play healthy for a season. Boldins harsh words lead me to wonder if there is not some nagging injury none of us know about. If I had one I would be doing everything I could to get a quick contract at the maximum amount I could.

Out of the bazillion Anquan Boldin threads, this has to be the truest of them all.
