Remember when Boldin selfishly played 3 weeks after getting his damn skull fractured?

Me too. Man, that was selfish. What a jerk.

What kind of guy would get upset about being on the bench in a championship game? What kind of guy wants the ball? Man, I wish we had some guys who were complacent about riding the bench and didn't want the ball. Maybe former ASFN Board Legend Kevin Kasper is available, we can sign him and cut Q before the Super Bowl.

Hockey Players do it all the time. Just sayin.;)

Anyways there is wanting to play and then there is berating your coach in public and leaving the field for the celebartion to sulk. Lets not confuse the two.

No offense, but your signature sucks. Especially since the team is going to play in the Super Bowl in two weeks.

I am willing to give Boldin the benefit of the doubt on this. Not really concerned at all.

Great thread.

Can you believe that some guys want to make as much cash as they can in a sport in which every play could be the last time a guy ever walks? In a league where they donate their bodies and take 15 years off their lives for our entertainment?

Jerks.

Exactly. Shouldn't we expect Q to get mad about not being in on the biggest drive of his life?

Then dont sign 5 year deals, if your going to want a new one every two years. You cant have it both ways. You either want the security of a long term deal or you want the money making process of only signing short term deals.

It is one thing Deon Sanders in his career had right and why he made so much money.

THIS ONE IS FOR YOU KOC. TIM WE DID IT.
Even though I was pretty mad after the game seeing him try to spoil this great moment... I cant stay mad at #81. I still think he is the heart and soul of the team, toughest player to play the game. We all dont know what was going thru his head. He isnt a selfish party-pooper. Im going to try to find out more on what REALLY happened.

Boy I can see the valid points of what both sides are saying in this thread.

I am just a little disappointed that we didn't see him during the celebration or after the game. That is all.

Ditto: my feelings exactly, Q has meant to much to this team much like Edge.

Everybody who is crucifying Boldin today is going to look just as dumb as those people who were crucifying Fitzgerald over the past two years.

Yeah, you guys know who you are.

I have no idea if Boldin is a bad person but he definitely did a bad thing. Anybody saying he didn't do a bad thing needs to pull their head out of the sand. Anybody saying he is a bad teammate because of this one incident is equally confused.

He did a bad thing, okay fine. But Haley yelled at him for it, and I think this will be handled internally.

Being a headcase and being tough aren't mutually exclusive. T.O. is both, IMO.

Q is becoming a diva, just like T.O. and Ocho Cinco.

I think you're right. It will be handled by the front office when Q is traded on draft day.

Q wasn't happy before the season and he's obviously not happy now. Why would anyone think that his situation is going to change in the future?

Ship him out now while he still has value. The Cardinals will be better off w/out the distractions and Q can get what he wants, more money.

The bottom line is Boldin knows he won't be traded unless AZ can get what they want for him. He has 2 years left. He hasn't been able to put on enough of a show this year do to the injuries, and here he was on a national stage and Haley wasn't giving him the calls. Unless he puts up huge numbers in the SB (which he could) he will be stuck here another year and no new contract.

And I can pretty much guarantee him and Rosendouche had that conversation in the last few weeks.

I am sure it will be kept out of the media...but I read Haley's lips and he appears to have said to Q " don't call me that" and he said it twice. We will not know what happened....timing is every and on the surface when a guy is in the midst of calling a game screaming by anyone is not the way to go.....on to Tampa and then we can discuss the Urlacher/Boldin deal.

People are judged by their actions, like it or not. Q's actions speak volumes about his priorities. Q has become about Q. Sad, but true. How would you explain his disgraceful exhibition and subsequent flight out the back door yesterday?

It was a microcosm of his situation. Q wants out of this town, so I say ship him out. I'm a Cardinal fan first. If someone doesn't want to be here, then I don't want them here.

Haley totally covered up for Q after the game. I was very proud that he didn't throw Q under the bus.

I don't know anyone who is mad at Q for yelling at Haley, especially not over wanting to be in the game.

People are upset he didn't celebrate the NFC championship win with his teammates. The other guys on the field. Thats where the fan-anger is from.

That being said, 99% of Cardinals fans, myself included, forgive him in a heartbeat if he just comes out and says he was hot at the limitations of the injury and the offensive playcalling. He needs to say he's excited to playin the Superbowl and will continue to give 110%. Thats all he needs to do, Haley covered the rest in his post game comments.

I think Drew Rosenhaus is the instigator here... Q isn't going to be paid the money he wants playing another partial season and being injured in the playoffs. He's a big risk and he wants a big payday. Good news for the Cardinals is, he probably needs to play out another year of his deal to prove his point and we may get another year of bargain Q... or we get top value for him in a trade. The Cards are still in control on this one and I don't see it playing out any other way.

This isnt trashing on your POV at all, but its just bewildering to me how, on the franchise defining drive of the clubs history, people will turn their heads at the ultimate act of selfishness. Good thing haley is so locked in because that distraction could have very well cost us the game... how much would you all stick up for Q if that were the case?
