I doubt that teams will give up picks for Bell and Hill, but it is great to see them mentioned on ESPN. I feel that these guys deserve extensions, but who knows how they'll fit into Green's plans. Hopefully they are already training for next year.

I would bet that if Renaldo is given the low tender, many teams would give up a 7th rounder for him.
First, he has starting experience. And while I agree that he is not a franchise cover corner, I thought that he played very well last season. He had five interceptions and a TD. He would be a prototypical nickel guy.
Second, he is a classy dude...a good locker room guy. He never complains, is tough, and doesn't run his mouth.
Lastly, he is a guy that is young and would only cost a 7th rounder if low tendered. If I had a need for that position, I would certainly give up a 7th for a proven guy.
Like Kirwan said, the former Cards staff is now scattered around the league. I would bet that St. Louis (Marmie), Tennessee (McGinnis), and the Giants (Milus) would be interested.

How much do we have to give him if we offer the middle tender? Jim's right, someone would definitely give up the 7th rounder to get him, and I wouldn't mind hanging onto this kid. Not as a starter, mind you, but for the nickel and for depth. Wouldn't someone have to give up a 1st rounder if they signed him to a middle tender? Well, that ain't gonna happen, so as long as it doesn't break the bank, offer that middle tender.

Hmm, the question is, is Hill worth 1.3 million dollars? That is a difficult question indeed. One part of me says yes, but the other says that's too much to pay for the role he'd play on the team. Anyone know what the average nickel CB in the league makes? I have exactly no time to try and research this.

On average, how may plays over the course of a game are defended by Nickle or Dime packages?
It seems to me, that fixating on starting DBs, important as they are, sometime neglects the vital role of these specialists.
1.3 million to help ensure quality coverage seems a reasonable price to pay for Hill's services.
And, adding another 1.3 for Wilson... IMO - would be money well invested.
