Report: Eagles make offer for Fitzgerald

Just an FYI- after the Suns game the local news guy said he was covering Kurt Warner's Youth Camp this weekend, talked to Fitz, and Fitz told him they were making progress. Maybe they'll say something more about it this evening. Not much news, but it sounds like both sides are talking.

I will take your insight in this matter and concede to it. At first glace I wondered if he could play DE in a 3-4 scheme with his height and his strength of pushing thru gaps rather that occupy them. I know he has great skills and is an all out player, but I didn't see him fitting in our system. If you guys say that he can than I am on board.

If the Cardinals are going to trade Fitzgerald, then they should get a Hershal Walker deal going. Brown is a bust for the Eagles. So imo, the cardinals should wait for the Eagles to release him. I wouldn't call him a bust. He's been decent for a 2nd rounder and I'd be shocked if the Eagles released him, barring a trade for Fitz, and even then probably not, since they would more than likely take a cap hit. He's been much more productive than BJ. Not sure if he is the deep threat we need, ran 4.45 at the combine when he came out as opposed to 4.57 for Johnson. Damn, I never realized he ran that poorly, why did we ever think he would be a deep threat for us? Was he injured at the combine or something?

If the Eagles want a trade how about they start offering something of quality rather than spare parts.

If he want to go the worst thing that can happen is he will get paid a boat load of money this year and walk next year to another boat load of money and we will receive Zip, Nada, Nothing. Other teams know we are behind the eight ball and have little incentive to offer us a big time package. We are in a lose lose situation. I trade him for the best deal I can get if a deal cannot be worked out by weeks end.

He holds the power this year. He also runs the risk of not getting anything next year if he is seriously injured this year. If Parker is hell bent on 4 year contract, this will be a long drawn out process.
