The Los Angeles Rams solved their quarterback problem early in the offseason by bringing back Matthew Stafford. While his position remains uncertain past the 2025 season, Stafford gives the Rams the best chance to win for the foreseeable future.

With that being said, finding his replacement could be on the Rams' radar in the 2025 NFL Draft. And when asked about which teams could be interested in Ole Mis quarterback Jaxson Dart, Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer mentioned the Rams as a team to watch if Dart slides in the first round.

"I think if two quarterbacks are off the board in the top three, it helps Jaxson Dart, for obvious reasons. But I’d still be surprised if he goes any higher than the end of the first round," Breer wrote. "... The Los Angeles Rams could be one team to watch near the bottom of the round, though."

This is an intriguing proposition for the Rams, who have immediate needs at cornerback and linebacker. Either of those issues could be fixed with the No. 26 pick. It doesn't help, either, that the Rams don't pick again until No. 90 in the third round. While it wouldn't be a surprise to see general manager Les Snead move back into the second round, the Rams need to focus on their 2025 season first before trying to figure out what to do at quarterback in a post-Stafford world.

But, at least, it sounds as though the Rams are on the lookout for Stafford's replacement soon. It worked for the Green Bay Packers with Jordan Love and the Kansas City Chiefs with Patrick Mahomes. Perhaps this is the forward-looking move the Rams want to pull off sooner rather than later.
