Just hours after it was officially confirmed that Sean Miller would leave Xavier to become the head coach at Texas, the Musketeers have lost one the key pieces on its roster.
Sophomore Dailyn Swain has entered the NCAA transfer portal, which opened on Monday, according to a report from Joe Tipton of On3Sports.
Swain and Ryan Conwell were two Xavier starters with uncertain futures after Miller left for Texas.

Swain's growth into a full-time starter this season helped fuel Xavier's run to the NCAA Tournament.
Swain started 33 of 34 games and averaged 11 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game. In Xavier's season-ending NCAA Tournament loss to Illinois in Milwaukee Friday, Swain led all scorers with 27 points on 10-of-17 shooting and 8 rebounds.
Last year, Swain appeared in 29 games as a true freshman. He averaged 4.6 points and 3 rebounds per game. His season was cut short when he needed an emergency appendectomy.

Swain and Trey Green were both named to the Big East's All-Freshman team. Both are looking for new homes after Green hit the portal Monday morning.
Swain was a standout at Columbus Africentric High School before joining the Musketeers. He was the program's all-time leading scorer and a Mr. Ohio Basketball finalist.
Swain, whom Ohio State recruited in high school, is already drawing interest from current Buckeyes.
