Resurrection (ABC)

Starts on ABC a week from today.



It is based on the French show called The Returned (Les Revenants), which is on Netflix. They look very different from the overall story, but with the same core concept. It is only 8 episodes on Netflix and worth a watch.

I thought the French show was excellent, largely due to writing and character development. I doubt ABC's version even comes close.

Agreed!! I blew through the 8 episodes in less than 24 hours and I am excited for season 2. I am hopeful that ABC won't screw it up.

Interesting and good to know. I will be watching the A&E one for sure.

I thought it was all right, some interesting things to explore. Only problem I had with it is that it moved way too fast. There seem to be dozens of characters introduced and you don't have time to really connect and feel any of the characters.

The part where the son comes home is pretty moving, but beyond that, there has been very little character development. Hope they start doing that more, even if it is an 8-episode season.
