Therese Johaug and her Norwegian team got a revenge of sorts on Saturday when she dominated a 20-kilometres cross country ski race ahead of team-mate Astrid Øyre Slind on Saturday.

Johaug won the interval start race in classic style at the Holmenkollen venue in Oslo 16.5 seconds from Slind and 53.6 seconds ahead of German Victoria Carl.

Sweden's Ebba Andersson originally finished third but was disqualified later.

It was the first race since the world championships in Trondheim, where the Swedish team won all six women's cross country golds, with Andersson taking three.

Johaug, who came out of retirement this season in search of gold at the worlds, had to settle for three silvers and a bronze.

A men's 20km was scheduled for later in Oslo, where the Nordic combined skiers were also to complete individual events.

High winds meanwhile led to the cancellation of a women's World Cup ski jumping event on the Norwegian flying hill of Vikersund with just World Cup champion and world record holder Nika Prevc of Slovenia to complete the first round on her 20th birthday.

After a long break, the competition was cancelled for safety reasons and rescheduled in just one round at 1445 GMT, ahead of the men's competition.

Prevc clinched back to back World Cup titles on Thursday when she claimed a seventh victory in a row. The double world champion bettered the women's world record to 236m in Vikersund training on Friday.

The Oslo events and Vikersund competitions Saturday and Sunday form the Raw Air Tour for men and women.
